Palm Beach County, Florida Palm Beach County Unified Development Code 
This assignment encompassed the revision and update of the county zoning and related development controls in order to provide a unified development code. The update reflected the procedural requirements of Florida planning statutes (e.g. concurrency) and the plans and policies of the county's comprehensive plan, adopted in August, 1989.
As part of a consultant team, Camiros, Ltd. was responsible for the review, modification and development of substantive provisions which included the zoning districts, mixed use provisions, and planned development and performance provisions of the update. The unique aspects of these provisions included encouraging economic development, protecting and maintaining the character of rural non-farm areas of the county, encouraging mixed use in and adjacent to commercial centers and structuring a historic zoning overlay district.
