Scottsdale Zoning Revision

As part of reorganizing the present zoning ordinance, the City of Scottsdale requested that Camiros, Ltd. review and modify the parking provisions of the present ordinance. The city's goals were to reflect contemporary requirements, procedures and standards in a manner which encouraged an increased range of transportation choices within the city. Upon review, Camiros suggested significant revisions of ordinance structure in order to make it simpler to use and able to accommodate the range of policy changes desired.

Camiros prepared a new parking ordinance to achieve city policy. This ordinance implemented the suggested organizational changes and introduced several new parking and development performance measures where appropriate. This worked to accommodate reduced parking due to special characteristics or the location, or offered transportation alternatives. The ordinance was adopted unanimously by the City Council.
