Camiros’ design guidelines serve as an interim or overlay tool to establish the desired character for new development and to help improve the appearance of existing structures. Our guidelines establish urban design and community character objectives for both public and private improvement projects. Often, the guidelines established by Camiros are incorporated into a development control document, such as a zoning ordinance or development agreement, or utilized as an evaluation tool for gaining community approval or financial support.
